Yesterday night I went over to Von Hartmanns and had him weld on a new inlet for the radiator to clear the blower

Looks like it was made that way.

Very nice work, love your progress and detail. What diameter are your gauges? Got my 55 on the road - loads of power w/ blown 383! Vic

The gauges are 2-5/8 what are your cam specs and pulley sizes for the blower?

  5. Nice looking mag ! I drove mine on the street for 2 years, no problem except when stuck in traffic it would foul the plugs. I have a number for a good magneto guy in Texas if you need it.

Took it in to get the roll cage today.
Hopefully it won't take more than three weeks then I will still be in good shape to make the meltdown.

Nice job on all your work, looking forward to seeing it at the Meltdown

  9. The generators are all the same exept for rotation. Its the base and drives that are differant. Those vertex mags only have about 1-1.5 amps. They do need service at regular intervals. The magnets need to be re zapped. Points need to be changed or reset. Cap rotor and wires replaced. I use a guy in south milwaukee. Ram racing. If you need the number let me know. I would still go msd. The msd requires no maintenance.

I dig this car. Some real hardware on it, unusual for a 'gasser' anymore. Nice to see someone building a retro 56 and haulin ass is first priority. cragars look good on it too, perfect offset/width on the back.

No real update but here is a picture of it sitting waiting to get the roll cage out in. I'll go discuss the plan next weekend with him. He told me on April 4th they are doing chassis certification so it looks like I'll be getting my chassis certified too.

    Tonight I
Made some accelerator pump covers for these chrome float bowls. I used some of the scraps from the dash panel a made that's why I never throw anything out. You might ask why float bowls on an injected car more to come.

Thanks I just like searching for the stuff you can't buy in the catalog. It's part of the whole experience having to track the stuff down.

Nothing special but added some indicator lights to the gauge panel these will be for the turn signals. It will have one more for the line lock right in the middle.
