I see what you're saying. The windows are starting to get longer, but how long is too long? I think your versions might be a little too short for my taste. I like the second version better, with the rear body angled more. They both look more like a 40's Chevy, so GM must've been thinking along the same lines as you.

Madfish also chopped it a little more per my request. I like all the options you guys are giving me. This was going be a very straight forward traditional build. But, you've got me thinking above my skill level. The Slant Back (or Flat Back) is really tempting.

I would like to see this one with 2 1/2" wide whitewalls on black steelies with chrome wheelnuts and chrome bullet greasecaps(those last ones are allready in the original picture). Thank`s.

Might I suggest black body with maroon wheels? More subtle than the blood red wheels, more interesting than the black wheels.

Of course, there is always the maroon with black wheels that might look OK.

I have the Torq Thrusts on my Unibody and I really really like the look. It sits quite a bit lower than the one in your picture though.
