Thanks everyone for the kinda words, and Ryan and others, sorry if i piss ya off sometimes :)

And yes you all know me well, if i start selling off the stuff, somethin is a brewin!

Our local hot rod custom show is the GSTA's (Gopher state timing assosiation) rod and custom spectacualar, it is on april 11th and 12th, i will be entering the car there in "as found" condition, its really hard not to clean it off right away but it just so neat to see it that way i wanted to share it with people for the show that way.

After the show i will clean it and rub on it a little and clean up any chrome etc etc.

There will be no changes made to it what so ever, it doent nead any changes, its perfect in my eyes and the way it was built made the car very functionable.

After a few years i plan to do a frame off resto of the car and will go back 100% to the way it was.

The overlook picture is up in Duluth MN on Skyline drive, which follows the shores of lake Superior, it was 1961 when that picture was taken.

It really saddens me that i didnt get to get it back on the road for Jerry, after me and Loiue talked with him about the car that day (and he could see i was salivating) i think his embarrasment of the car went down, why i think this is when we were about to leave i asked if i could have my photographer buddy (chadly Johnson) come over and shoot it in the shed. he said sure, anytime! RIP JERRY, this one is dedicated to ya!

Awesome! And sounds like the perfect plan for it.

  4. Louie is a friend indeed.

  5. Cool, it would be better if it were mine but that would take money aside from lots of ass kissin' so cool anyway.

I suppose you are putting it back to its former glory or?????

Sometimes you find the car and other times the car finds you! Either way it' sounds like it's in the correct hands now!
Post some pictures of the crowed that forms looking at it at the show in April!

The GSTA must just assume you found another survivor and give you the proper space for a display every year. Haha.

Can't wait to see it, looks like it was a gorgeous car back in the day

Titus had been talking about the barn find for quite a few weeks at our old boys Wednesday lunches. He's the token young guy. You could see the hopefulness and excitment in him as he talked about the '36. Then, when the owner died he was unsure if a deal could be made with the family.
I've been over to see it a couple times and it is a great car in fine condition.
It couldn't be in better hands than with Titus.

That is one nice rod! Great find.

I hate you (!!) or maybe I'm jealous, and it just feels the same. But you will never know.

It makes me happy that they are still around, and glad when another one gets saved!

But it scares me to see it took HRP 39 posts to come in the game! That's scary! And a little sad. What will be the next, he gets a parallel life, beside the HAMB life? Maybe a wife and a station wagon and go by a made up name like Danny.

Titus, keep pictures comming, and what see your plans? Redo or live the patina life for a vile?

  26. LOL one of my Argentine friends snagged a pretty sweet deuce pickup and I told him I was jealous. He just told me not to be jealous that the sun shines on every dogs ass. :D

The little coupe did find a very good care giver. I am glad that it landed where it did, I would probably just screw it up if it came to live at my house.

Maybe it will pass, maybe not. And of course I don't hate a fellow rodder, it was just the best word to describe me feelings, right in that moment. I'm good now.

  28. I broke a tooth out of my denture once and swallowed it before I knew it. My friends wife just looked at me and said, "this too will pass." :D

We all use words like hate and jealous in a fashion that was not intended. it is understood by those who are savvy and the rest of them just need to be fooled. ;)
