No photos, but enjoyed watching him run! The car in my avatar is the early stages of a B/A I ran for a while. Ran on the same track and time as Ted here in Wichita, mid 60s. The good old days, back when funny cars were real cars!

It was so much different that I don't even enjoy the current racing. I was a big funny car and prostock fan for years, but the current rules and bodies just seem all wrong to me. Prostocks had to "look" like a production car and run on a single 4-barrel and funny cars had to be something that resembled a car. I'm a John Force fan, but the current cars with a jet canopy and bodies that look nothing like a car are a bit much. Why even bother to call them cars? Anyway, loved the 60s and drag racing with things like the fuel altereds!!!!

  24. That is a really good picture of Bill McClure (builder and owner of Green Valley) and his wife. Most people don't know that before Green Valley, he built and owned the Double Eagle drag strip which was slightly NE of San Antonio, Texas. They were really good people. Although he never owned a race car himself, I don't think, he loved drag racing and drag racers.
