I have a 73' mustang brake pedal I would like to firewall mount on my 50 shoebox but I don`t have the master cylinder or booster.....anyone know what would fit? tks
Go to NAPA online $97.99 booster and master cylinder. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/C...er-w-Master-Cylinder/_/R-NBB503405_0136014308
Thanks for the napa quote .....thats a good price, I thought a later year would fit and be easier to find but I can pick this one tomorrow, thanks
Having hand built my own brake pedal, working out stroke on master cylinder, pedal length, pivot length, mounting positions etc, believe me stick with what is known to work, ie all from one car, or be prepared for a bit of maths and fabrication......
I am going to have to agree with the others. Your best bet is a '73 Mustang master cylinder and booster. Don't go cheap on your brakes.
I still have the original drum brakes, I just want to change to power and mount it on the firewall with this mustang pedal I found at a swap meet, the pedal comes down on the right side of the column so I`m hoping it won`t be to close if I mount it right over the steering column
If the pedal came with all the brackets to mount it and now you have a master and booster that goes with it, it should work well for you.
