You guys are WAY off. Corvette Summer is a masterpiece of cinematography. And Mark Hamill was just dreamy.

'American Graffiti', original 'Gone in 60 Seconds', 'Bullet', 'Vanishing Point', 'Worlds Fastest Indian', 'California Kid' or 'Aloha Bobby & Rose'. So many to pick a favourite from but will go with .....'Tucker' wasn't bad either.

  8. I loved Thunder Road and Bullitt, but for me, I think I enjoyed American Graffiti as the best flick involving the cars. It had such a variety and they played a big part of the movie.

I agree with all listed, but, no one has mentioned "State Fair" with Pat Boone. It was filmed at the Iowa State Fair Grounds in Des Moines. If you've been to Good Guys, Des Moines you will recognize it in the movie.

Given my handle, Thunder Road gets my vote for #1. So far, no one has mentioned Ronin with Robert DeNiro and Jean Reno. Killer chase scenes and incredible driving. Same comment for The Transporter. lucas doolin

I like Streets of Fire. Great music, bad acting, fun movie with lots of old cars, motorcycles and pretty girls. I know you "don't get it." I know the custom Merc. is ugly. It's a fuckin "rock and roll fable, another time, another place." It's not real and never meant to be. Just sit back, enjoy, don't think or pick it apart.
Google it. It's an interesting story how and why it was made.

These are a few of my favorites in no particular order.
    1. Hot Rod 1979
    2.Return to Macon County Line
    3.Greased Lightning
    4.Christine
    5.Cobra
6.Deathproof a newer movie is my favorite modern car movie simply because its a bad ass chick car movie!!
    7. I remember watching Thunder Road as a little girl with my dad.
    8.American Graffiti
    9. Dazed and Confused i loved the different types of cars in that movie.
    10. Two Lane Blacktop
I'm also very into Trucker Movies aswell!!

  25. Thunder Road, and some oldies but goodies "The Wages of Fear" and "They Drive by Night".
Never thought about "Grapes of Wrath" being a car movie but it is the ultimate road trip movie and is one of my all time favorites. I seem to always watch "Duel" when it comes on also.

  26. Yep. That was a mean '65 Biscayne in that movie also, high revving small block. Of course a 440 R/T '69 charger is always nice to see, even though it was destroyed.
