Haha Ted, this one is going to take a little longer than an hour to put together! I'll start up a build thread in a couple weeks so you guys can track the progress on this clam.

I would like to humbly enter my build. It will at least spark me to get it done in time. AND...I'm close enough to drive it there (Long Island, NY) even if I'm not accepted to race. Late '31 Tudor, 59AB, '38 toploader, '38 banjo traditional build. No parts newer than the '40-'48 brakes that are on it. Pic taken in September. I'm further along than that now.

  17. I would love to go, but I will probably not make it next year. Check out my build though in my signature. Just going there is definitely on my dream list, and hopefully after some long nights it will be possible!

Sweet, can't wait. I will offer up my 32 5w since I couldn't get it done in time this past year and took my T instead. Or, I'm thinking about building a banger powered T tub or 23 T roadster just for the sand. I've got parts laying around begging for a good use.

  20. Dave, that thing will NEVER see the sand! Waaaaaay too nice, bro!

    My build

The Sawmill Special , named after the new old 1860's sawmill I'm slowing restoring into the "shop"

    So far
27 T Touring (yes it is still for sale, but not really, I have a plan B if it does sell)
    A chassis with a Banger
Early '28 AR wire wheels (think real skinny)
Mechanical Brakes (YES!) Sawmill medium (Medium).jpg Sawmill inside medium (Medium).jpg DSC_4924 (Medium).JPG

Build thread as soon as the new "shop" gets weather tight and new floors

I had all this stuff stashed away. It's not doing any good sitting there. Now we have to get all the old timers with triples of everything to think the same haha.

Boy howdy I wish I could make it this time around. The roadster should qualify but it's just frame rails on saw horses right now.
