I just recently found and purchased a 40 Desoto coupe to build. Last Saturday I was out near the edge of the world to look at a piece of property to buy and I see a 40 Ford coupe sitting under a tree. Two places down the road I see a 37 Chevy coupe sitting next to a barn....is it just me or are these things popping up all over the place?

No, they are not just popping up all over the place. You are just in a good spot. Buy 'em up and if you don't what them, get them into the hands of someone who will build them.
If I wasn't about to buy a piece of property and build a building I would buy them....I'm out of room.
Well,,,, you need to buy them and sell them or tell the location so someone else can. The "I know something y'all don't know" kind of threads is BS really. If you can buy them right and aren't really greedy you can easily turn a reasonable profit and cover your time. Unless you like coupe de jour jokes

Two posts ago you said you'd buy them, That implies they are for sale, doesn't it? Maybe the location was so remote that they just haven't been scavenged yet. I don't see them sprouting up around here, however I'd imagine as more guys pass, their cars will come up as available.
I would if they were for sale and I wasn't about to buy property. I learned my lesson a long time ago. If I can't buy it on the spot I don't stop and inquire about it. I missed several "once in a lifetime deals" like that.
