Event Coverage A Radical Ride in the 'T' Bag

This reminds me of a ride I took in a friends T bucket in the early 70's. 671 blown big block, with dual quads. Glass body with stock height windshield, motorcycle front tires and no front brakes. He nailed this sucker and we went sideways for about 500 feet. We were sitting kind of high in the seat and with no seat belts, all I could think of is that huge windshield blowing back and taking me with it. I'm not sure what we topped out at but that was the last ride I took with him.

 

I know those guys!!! I know those guys!!! Hi friends! Why's it always balls cold or wet when we play down there! Lol

As for riding or driving...I have this one car that's kind of fun...it doesn't scare me but usually gets everyone else...

Trust me, I care about as much as I care about what happens to toilet paper after I flush. You (or anyone else for that matter) insulting California means nothing to me. I've lived here my whole life, all 41 years, I know how bad this place sucks. I do however find it funny that someone 2000 miles away feels the need to proclaim he doesn't care how "we" do it here by displaying it on his vehicle. It kind of reminds me of a politician who campaigns against illegal drugs and then gets caught buying crack.

I have a healthy respect for life,so I always stay away from Hemi T's.

I would have to agree with Ryan but, It brings to mind a Model A that my brother bought in the mid 70's." Ramona the Rain Maker". It was a full fendered Model A coupe with a 283, 671 blower and 2 -4's, hooked to a hydro with a clutch. I remeber it had slicks on steel wheels and it was kind of a light maroon mettallic. My brother got it fired up and runnin one day so we went for a ride... what a ride... I cant imagine trying to handle this thing on a drag strip and at the time I didnt understand everything that went on but when it was all said and done we left marks through somebodies front yard in beaverdale. Often times I think about that car when I'm at the Hamb drags and when looking at T Bag.

Good read and video! There's nothing like riding in a loud fast hot rod.

Probably the fastest car I've ever rode in/drove is my own. And I've been in some pretty nasty blower cars.

I've taken quite a few people for rides since I've put the blower on. I've seen quite a few reactions from grown men giggling like little girls to pure FEAR. Ha ha!

And there's nothing like a overpowered, loud and angry hot rod running through the gears!

PS: Wheres all the fun police on this thread that complain about burnouts and no front brakes???

"T"Bag - what a great machine, perfect, radical T.
Been in some radical street racers, 64 falcon 4 spd that shifted at 8k and ran 10's, other faster cars that aren't friendly here. Never been in a crazy fast hot rod.

 

It doesn't get any more hot rod than that! Good God, that is wicked! This is why we love this thing of ours......And I just made my kids giggle with excitement watching the video!

 

He builds some radical stuff out of that shop
