Docwatson, it's just in the planning stages. I will do a build thread when the time comes.

    It's always been 'opinions'.
You can't base everything you see on just what showed up in a West Coast Magazine in the '50's and '60's.
I'd bet, based on what "I" saw as a kid, the Majority of Hot Rods were/are low-buck, hand made and built in a driveway, back yard, barn, etc.
My point is, there was a ton of wild cars made and that is what made Hot Rods cool.
The 'Real-History' lies in the old black & white photos taken by your family members....... find them and you will find the truth.
    I love this old Coupe!

Because I decided to become a restorer and build a "boring" unchopped, unfilled, full fendered hot rod. I bought this one and sold the green one. JohnnyA

Btw...hey sib, I think your new project was a coupe I heard thru the grapevine could be bought for less than $5K? If it is congrats and I'm excited to see you put your usual twist on it.

I love this car that Paul Hoffman put together but for some reason it always looks like a Franklin Mint model instead of a real car in the magazines?!

My new project is not that car. That car is in hold until I get this one done.

  17. Dude. Mr. @WillysRule Sir.

That purple third one has been on my Ebay watch list twice......love it ! Is that one local to you ? It's killer. Have any of the back ? It's got a kray-zeee pipe treatment out it's rear wazoo. I lost all my damned pictures of it last computer crash.

I initially shrieked in horror at its praple-ness....but the details in that one...kill it.

kidcampbell71... I forget who owns the satin black 32 with the dirt track tires. If I remember correctly, it was a steel repro 32 body, and took a trip to Bonneville not long after it was completed. I want to say it came out somewhere around 2012 or 2013.

As for the purple coupe, I believe it was built in England, and is actually a glass car. It seems like someone bought it, and is now here in the States, but I forget where. When I first saw it several years ago, it had black wall tires. Here's some more pics.

really hard to tell if that car is low or if it has really high headlights. It was obviously driven somewhere that they had a headlight height law. ;)
