A good friend of mine wanted to build a cool traditional 1936 ford pick. After searching awhile he found one craigslist. We blew it apart and sent it off to media blast. It had a lot more rust repair than we had expected. After a little bit of hammer and dolly work Custom made panhard mount and frame gussets All the fenders where just a rough! More hammering... got to use the ewheel too After the fenders were close, it was time to bust out the lead. Flathead motor mount Time to start on the floor pans. Used my stepping dies to give some extra strength and good looks.
Beautiful metal work esp. on the fenders! Kind of looks like a 35 with the wire wheels and such but can't see enough of the grill. Body and fenders same 35 and 36. Grill and hood and wheels (wide 5) on a 36 different.
Thanks AVater, it is a 36 has the thicker grill shell. Mcmopar we are running flathead. All ford running gear C4 trans and 9''rearend. More pics coming soon
Hooray! You said 'traditional' AND you're using fenders! The suspension leaves me scratching my head though. Nice saves on the sheetmetal.
Stainless column drop 2" stainless exhaust Cut down headlight mounts Awesome spoke wheels from the Wheel Kid at www.rallyamerica.com Great job as usual Jimmy!
I wish I knew how to do half of the stuff some of you guys around here do with metal work. That is fantastic.
