Someone must have some pictures of Barry Lobeck's '32 SD. It was built from a 2dr by my friend Paul Beck. Paul also did the chop on my '32 2dr. If you saw the Veda Orr tribute at the top 75 32's display you a saw more of Paul's handiwork. The '32 3w that Mooneyes campaigns on the salt was built by Paul with parts from about 4 or 5 '32 3w's. It was on the cover of Rod and Custom when Paul first finished it painted silver/blue.

Here are a couple more 1932 sedan deliveries that were at the Deuce Doins in DesMoines, IA last summer.

Both of the cars in Des Moines were recreations.

Is there a problem with a recreation? I'd put my recreation along side an original as far as accuracy in it's build detail.

Nope, no problem at all. I am a hot rodder too. Just wanted to make sure everybody realized how rare the real ones are. I'm not sure I've ever seen more than three or four real '32 deliveries.

That is correct, Danny. It is his daily driver. I challenge you to find anything about it that doesn't look original.

Pew those are some NICE SD's. I have always enjoyed the Lobeck Delivery, but the Cornhusker one is gorgeous! So understated it knocks you out.

Here is my friend George's long term project. He will be driving it very soon.

Full flathead with T-5 and a Winters QC should make a super driver. The General Jumbo wheels are specially made for the car.

The body and fenders are now mounted and the profile is magnificent.

Doug supplied the rear door kit and Jim Hendricks did the fantastic metal work exactly like Henry did it.

A guy in Longview Texas has a 32 delivery with a B engine. It was his fathers and hasnt been touched in 50 years or so. Someone painted it blue and pieces of blue paint as big as your hand have flaked off

  17. Does anyone make a nice glass sedan delivery body? These things are so rare and expensive a glass body is probably my only shot at owning one.

Any pics of a glass delivery?

Yes, Geoff of GMT had a nice glass delivery hiboy he built a few years ago when he lived in LA. He took it back to NZ with him and I believe the body was made by Deuce Customs in Australia. I don't have a photo but someone will remember his car and post a photo.

    I found the photo. Deucecustoms.com

They make this in a sedan delivery model also. $11,600.

  22. I should have bought one of these glass bodies above. I would have been light years ahead instead of beating on this old Fordor body.

  29. I know they're repopping the drip rails for 5 windows now but is anyone doing the sedan drip rails? The only thing that makes me hesitate on the glass body deliveries is the "molded in" 3 window style drip rails. If you could add the repop drip rails to the glass body I would seriously consider building one.

The shop (Kemps Rods and Restorations in Michigan) made three rear bumpers for mine and 2 other deliveries he converted several winters ago. Started with unplated/undrilled bumper blanks, shaped them, drilled them to fit Bumper Iron Bobs stock style delivery rear irons and then we had to get them plated. I think they look stock. Based on a pattern Doug includes with his wood kit.
