I am going to pull the motor out of my 37 Chevy p/u,it has a rod knocking so I am either going to replace it with one of my spare motors or fix the existing motor.

I hope to have my F100 finished to a point that I can drive it to some of the local cruises. Got what seems like a million things to do before I can just hop in and go for a spin.

My plan was to get the rear fenders back on the '41 and the floor started back in, but it looks like we will be doing a new shop building!

  10. Going to repair the transmission in our 58 Apache then put a steel floor in place of the wood and repainted the whole truck. In between working on the truck I hope to get started TIG welding the sectioned 50 Ford coupe my son is building.

My 48 is getting a workover. From the original L6 and 3 speed...

to a warmed over 360 magnum and NV3500 5 speed...

I've already rebuilt the front suspension, relocated the lower pockets to the bottom of the A-arms and replaced the springs with the Aerostar units.
I've mounted the brake booster, hydraulic clutch, and pedals (using the original pads)...

Once the engine and trans are mounted I'll be rewiring the car. If I get all that done I'll change over to power rack and pinion and changing the stock rear suspension over to a triangulated 4-link.

I'll be giving my coupester a much needed facelift including narrowing the rear end and rear fenders, changing to more traditional wheels and tires, and losing some altitude. A few other details, too, but that's the big stuff.

Oh, and I'll be starting a new car as well. Already got a big pile of parts gathered and a top-notch chassis builder poised to do the heavy lifting. It'll be fun! I can't wait.

So...somebody buy my '54 Merc hardtop. I need the money!

Thanks HRP, I've been sitting on it for almost a year trying to collect parts and make space. The guy who had it before me sat on it for 30 years without doing a damn thing to it, so I guess I'm doing all right. Finally have most of what I need to make an actual car out of it!

Gonna get the '57 Pontiac in my avatar running, and hopefully, able to move/stop under it's own power.

  20. I'll be working on the '59 Ford all winter. Gotta get the garage in shape so the car fits into it, get some heat going as well. First task will be to plumb the new brake system then onto a full rewire to kick things off.

I'll be taking this heap apart and ditching the wide whites, flat black, the leaky 305 and some other questionable parts. I have it apart now and so far have installed new front springs, corrected the rear spring setup, starting to pound out the dents. Will be selling quite a few things off it so keep your eyes on the classifieds. It will eventually be painted either dove gray or folkstone gray.......depending on the budget. I did get a Vortec 350 for a smoking deal so that will go in sometime this winter.

Going to install a hilborn on the dragster in place of the carb, and get my 1964 Dodge wagon in shape for towing the dragster.

Change course to Zero-one three niner-I was going to work on a coupe (Frankencar), but I think this one is getting the nod for the winter of 2015. Already in the garage and not as big a challenge as the coupe.I read somewhere else on here, it sucks when it takes twice as long to get half as much done! And I know the feeling! Happy Thanksgiving All.
