Just picked this up in the LA area, was wondering if anyone recognized this car, or has any info on it? Was told it ran a flathead in it, has old ford rearend Any help would be appreciated.

Special thanks to drumyn29 on the HAMB for making it possible to get the car home! Someone took lighting holes to a hole new level.

  4. Actually that was pretty common at one time. I always hate to see an axle that butchered on the street but I have seen a few floating around in the last few years.

I don't remember it, grew up there in the time this gasser might have been running...the small airscoop does suggest a flathead...wish I could help

I'm pretty sure that with a flathead it would have been H gas. That class was for inline sixes and pre 60 flathead V8's.

  15. PHTTTTTT they forgot to drill the grill bars. :p :D :D I doubt that anyone at the local track will be impressed if you show up and run a flathead powered gasser but it will be a hoot to drive. Looks like you got yourself a winner there in the lets have some fun dept. for sure.

Hah your right about the grille

I would like to build a tribute to my Dad who passed in 1989, he loved gassers & especially race flatheads.
He left behind an 80 over 59AB so I think that's a good candidate, now just need some speed parts!
