I needed to replicate a piece that I saw in one of Lee Kay's pictures but the original that I had was rotted, so I built a pair.

    Yep!
I can't resist, I'm going to add some vintage willys speed parts to the Ute motor. I'm in the process of registering it in the States and the DMV uses the NADA blue book and there isn't a ute in it so I have to most likely call it a coupe.

Now that would be cool to pull the 33 around on a 2 wheel trailer.

I'm in! I love it when someone starts with pieces. IMO ahot rod should be something drug out the creek, or from the back alley, or behind the barn & built. It's about giving something a new life to me. Subscribed.

  16. Bummer. I was looking forward to a sedan Gasser. Don't remember ever seeing one of those. Gotta have the spare tire bump. I hate it when guys put in a flat panel. Great place for a Rat Fink decal like I have. I have a 'chute there now but it is mounted to a bracket that is mounted to the frame, the decal is intact.

I agree, the flat panel looks terrible. The amazing Lee Kay is building my spare sheet metal as we speak.

    I wish I did.

I bought it out of Georgia or Ohio. It has a TON of lead in it and it was shortened about 6 or so inches from the bottom.

I installed the Olds rear and ladder bars from the old 40 willys gasser chassis, along with building a tilt front end.

It's a close call, but I think if I had my pick between this or the later body style I go with this.

  30. There's a long standing joke or saying around my shop.

I really need a engine test stand that looks like a 33 willys
