Hot Rods You be the judge...1932 Ford V8 Emblem...Real or Repo...

Part of this nonsense reaction is doubtless due to EBay, which made "1932 Ford" one of the most hyped and misrepresented "brands" on earth...and provided tons of idiot-to-idiot nonsense expertise.

 

The round emblem behind the part number is the makers logo for the Ford contractor which made that V-8 headlamp bar emblem. Most emblems both stamped and die-cast will have these maker's marks on them.
Early reproductions of these did not have the part numbers on them. This was one of the first items reproduced for the 32 Ford V8s.

 

So in reality Ford did not make this part. And there may actually have been a few different manufacturers back in 1932. So the size of the number on the back, or no number at all, could be different on each vendor's product. Something to think about. Mr. Rehor, are you out there?

 

Same one that was on my 3 window when I purchased it years ago. That is original as you are going to find in today's world ! I sold the bar and emblem for 25.00 , over 20 years ago! I will give 25 .00 just for the emblem ! LOL

If you are selling it, it's probably an original. If you are buying it , it's probably a repro. Wishful thinking either way.

Damn'it Larry, I see you are still up to your old tricks And are still selling these bogus V8 headlight bar emblems.....Don't be fooled guys! I bought the extra headlight bar from him that he had the bones guys make for his 3 window and it came with the same bogus emblem with that same part number.....LOL.....Sounds Like the B.I.L needs to go back to deuce School and learn something. As I have a couple others as well and they all have the Original part number on them. And if he has 3 32's he should know better...

 

every time i see one of those logos, especially the repro's like yours, it reminds me of a gymnast i once knew....boy was she flexible......her name was Vita Antinaeti.
