  2. Vision ? Me? :D Just looking at other cars and trying to get this to work :) Yeah the rear is low and there is no weight in it yet. Looking at the SWC car the front of the rear fender is almost cut away so it might be right.

  4. That would be fun Tom - you will spank me good though - my target is parking lot testing in January / Feb.

  5. Have you got rear fenders? Here's a quick-n-dirty photoslop, I didn't radius the rears quite as much as SWC...

  14. Talked to Rich Venza about fiberglass this week. He said the weight reduction would be about 2/3 or maybe only 1/2 so to start off he wanted weights of all the hood parts. Because if it doesn't weigh much then its a lot of $$ and effort for not very many pounds.
    Here is what they weigh:
    Fender = 30lbs x2 = 60lbs
    Nose with brace = 35lbs
    Sides = 20lbs
    Top = 25lbs
    ----------------------------------
    Total = 140 lbs

    Looks like fiberglass could remove 70lb or a little more.

    On to the engine placement - first thing to do was try and see why the keys don't start the car.

    They turn but nothing happens. Need to get behind the dash to see what's going on.

    Still can't see the problem - need more access

    Raised the rear - maybe too much o_O

    Here's a shot with the hood top and nose.

  15. Tim and Shawn came over on Sunday. Main goal was to get the trans mount built and start on the motor mounts. Thanks for the help with the heavy lifting!

  19. If you do go with fibreglass up front, don't forget to chuck all that old sheet metal right in the crusher.

    Hey, all kidding aside, if you are going to have leftover parts of potential value if a market arose in the future, but nowhere to store now, there's still some room left in the loft of my shop. Or in the rear storage which isn't but a little better than keeping it out of the rain under a lean-to. Just a tin box, maybe 10X20, with a dirt floor.
    I fully understand your dilemma of having parts of potential value and use to someone who has an interest in older cars, hot rodded or stock., but having your shop at home in a neighborhood of people who doesn't t necessarily have the same appreciation of antique autos and parts, or yard art either, for that matter.

  25. Can't ya just throw the parts over the hill?

    Looking good brother

  27. DAM Tony!!! your 39 is just plain old bad ASS! Thanks for the input on the chassis for the 25 DB, I have a clear direction to go now.... Hmmmmm, I do have an old 51 Ford truck axle and springs, the left over stroker crank from the blown SIM engine, 13:1 pistons that would make the 50 Dodge into a nice Gasser. Just need a tunnel ram and Ive got a High and Mighty kinda........

    Just spent the last hour drooling over the build and making engine noises as Anna just sat there in awe of me,.... Bwahaha.
