Guys I am sure this question has been asked many times, but I am not able to find it. its a simple question.

Can I reverse the spring eyes and kick up the frame 3 inches on a model A tudor and still fit a 28 inch tire under the rear fenders. the tires will be mounted to on a 16x4 wheel. on the front I am just reversing the spring eyes ad dropping the axel 2 inches so I should be ok with a 25 inch tire.

I am sure this has been asked so I apologize for asking again

Well, I'm no expert but, half of a 28" tall tire is 14" plus I would think at least 3" maybe 4" between top of tire and inside top of fender for suspension travel, means you would need 18" from center of axle to inside top of fender at ride height. Maybe a little more even. I'm a fenderless guy.

Thanks, I am using the same math as you, I have about 23 inches from the hub center to the inside center fender, but I am not sure how worn that rear spring is. I can always go the trial and error way, but with all the experts here I was hoping to skip the trial and error step

Most of the time there is no set formula, just gotta get your parts together, put em on and see where things are.

Has anyone ever kicked up a model A frame 3 inches and still ran fenders?

I have a chassis on chassis step, probably about 3", reverse eye spring over axle and 7.00 x 16 tyres on mine.

I like the stance also and would be interested in what's done up front.
    Thanks,

Front is just a simple superbell dropped axle and reverse eye spring.
