    Hey, nice to see a fellow young Aussie! The Chevy looks like it's coming along nicely, and since it's a 6, you should be able to drive it on your P-Plates as well! I really have to wait 'til my opens, cause my '55 Ford is a V8.

    Same here except mine was a Pontiac and it was the same age as me (in 1968!).
    looking forward to the build. remember it is not just a car it is an educational adventure. How old do you need to be to drive?

  14. If i remember correctly, as its been a while (i'm 25 now).. we get our learners at 16.. used to have it for a year but now its a year + 100 hours experience.. then p plates for 3 years (provisional, different states have different rules).. then opens.

    Yep, learners at 16 then 1 year on Red P plates, 2 Years on Greens. In Queensland anyway.

    Here in Victoria we have to have our red p plates for 1 year but our green p's for atleast 3 years

    Nothing wrong with 4-doors, especially in a car like that! I've owned and loved plenty of 4-doors, and almost picked up another one last week.

    Cool. looks like you are keeping track of things as you take them apart. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We all enjoy watching the younger crowd getting involved with old cars.

    Yea take pictures of screws in the part as they come off too.....saves time later playing "screw detective"
