  4. Why is it so hard to see that this was customizing at its core as opposed to the Cartoons that pass as Customs today? Centurion9

Simply because those that build customs today want to 'outdo' whatever's been done in the past...!!! That's the #1 reason so many cars are ruined by way radical chops. M-O-R-E is better...!!! (said sarcastically!)

I ran across these two photos within the last few days. They are absolutely NOT mild customs by the strict definition of the term, but conceptually they are because so few modifications have been made to them: they're both chopped and severely lowered, but otherwise completely stock bodied: 7.jpg

The Plymouth is for sale here on the HAMB -- it's in Idaho -- and I don't know anything about the DeSoto.

I have no idea if the two owners are aware of each other, or whether this "chopped stocker" idea is a coming thing, but I thought they were just interesting. Pretty cool, too, I think.

  19. Help me understand. How has this been customised, other than adding a peep mirror and changing the wheel covers?

I just found this thread again. I don't have a mild custom [or any custom] but it is on my list. This is my favorite at the moment. Saw it in Wichita at the Stray Kat Starliner. Wish it were mine. beautifull 54 lincoln 1.jpg beautifull 54 lincoln 2.jpg

That's so nice! If themoose had taken the door handles and emblems off it'd be perfect.
