I have a '40 rear spring on the back of my model a. The suspension has settled some and one of the spring mounting bolts is just barely rubbing the pumpkin. I have an extra '40 spring and was wondering which leaves I could add to raise the spring rate and. keep the spring from spreading so much. The shackles used to be at a nice 45 degree angle and now they are mor like a 75 degree angle. The spring mounting perches are 48" center to center. Also would longer shackles help or make the problem worse? Thanks

Crazy question, but couldn't you just re-arch the spring?

I haven't ruled that out, I was wondering if anything could be done with what I have on hand right now.
