Looks like another old junk yard is about to bite the dust. You guys that are close might want to get over there and gather up some stuff, it won't be there much longer. [IMG] Saw several square birds in one of the pics.

Boy, I wish I had a bunch of dough I didn't need! What a shame- lots of solid tin there. I think I'm gonna puke.

Some friends of mine are going on Saturday, I'm also going to try to get down there soon. Looks like some good stuff left and I've heard the prices are pretty good, too.

    How good are those prices?
Is this a pick and pull time or whole car?
I'm a good days round trip from there.
    Thanks.

This is becoming a regular 'event' all across the US as more older owners give it up and cash out to the real estate developers...that and the onslaught of regulations created by the various over-zealous city and county 'planners' who think we should all live in a condo and force owners to 'clean-up'.....
This last summer the Mopar community lost over 200 cars from the '40-50-60's near where I am, all going to the scrappers for about $300 a piece. Space and time only allowed me to get 2-'47 DeSotos and 1-'50 Chrysler. Others saved the remaining cars from a 400+ car list.

  13. ...as far as I know they are open everyday (not Sundays) from 8-5,
been up there twice, got a nice curved windshield for a 55 IH truck, ($75) and a complete shortbed box for the same ($100), ,,reasonable I think and I'm dirt cheap.
guy's there are very helpful, retreived this truck,(the tree came out with it) took it up to the shop and cut the bed bolts...(I didn't like the guy standing under the forklift )
...lots of good stuff but a lot is really rough also.

Ha, Ha, those junkyard guys are fearless, I've seen them with cutting torches all around gas tanks, pulling parts from under cars teetering on make shift lifts all kinds a crazy stuff.
