Ha Ha ! Not going to happen. This car always had a hood so it will stay as is and it was.

 

Mark she looks great sounds like you have the tune up figured out. Will you be going to Southbury next weekend?

 

I will be there! The coupe seems to be running very nice. Have not had it out much yet but hope to start using it everyday soon. Were you happy with your pile of stuff yesterday?

just noticed the Colorado plate

 

Those are the original plates Don Coleman used on the car. That is a whole other story!

Neal East told me that the plates " 1 lost 1932 " were plates that in Colorado if you lost your original license plates back then they would issue you new ones with the word LOST on them vertically. The # 1 was for Denver county and the 1932 was from another plate that Don Coleman took and made these plates. I did not realize this until I removed the plates and looked at the back. Even there you need to look hard to see this was done. Nice work by Coleman! He did the pair Front and Rear. Don't ask me how but I was able to run them in CT.

 

That's a good story and cool deal you were able to run them, that coupe is just flat-out classy !

Why is there a block behind the left rear tire? Brake issues?

 

I would like to buy the wooden block please.....its within my budget. Maybe anyway. Conneticut wood could be pricey.

 

That was there while I was reassembling the car before the emergency brake was hooked up and I was tweaking the motor. Man you guys are observant!

 

Love this thread, I just finished up reading your roadster thread and then moved on to this one. Can you tell me what tyre combination you are running on the coleman coupe?

 

Thanks! Rear 7:50 x 16" Front 6:00x16" 1940 Ford Wheels rear and V8-60's front 3-1/2"wide.
