That was my first car, several years ago, and I think that one is in way better shape than the 1 I had. Good luck with your build and keep us posted.

Thank you, I defanatly will be posting my progress whenever I get something done on it. Condition wise she's very solid, although I'm use to thin German metal with Volkswagens.... When I get it running I'll get use the tig welding skills I'm currently developing now to make it 100% rust free.

Good for you keeping the Mopar. I know I will get some flak for this but it is about 3 times as good a car as a Chev. Especially since yours is a B engine, I severely doubt the Chev has a 348 and if it did the Plym would still beat it.

New spark plugs, check your plug wires, clean the points with a points file and adjust with feeler gauge. Check timing, clean distributor cap, you should be good to go.

If you want electronic ignition, a Chrysler 1973 - 1980s orange box module will work with your points distributor and so will a Ford thick film module. Either will give a hotter spark and the points will last longer too.

You need some wesleys bleach white to clean those tires up as well, and use a scrub brush on em (especially the whitewall)while there wet with bleach white, then rinse.
Clean tires will make almost any wheel look a lot better, even if they arent in the greatest shape.

I've done small things here and there but nothing major. I found out its not a 318 but it is a 383 big block!

Love it ! Granpa had a grey 65 4 dr. , Mom had a 66 VIP 4dr. Great road trip cars .. Float like a boat comfort , steering feel however is light. Great 1st car project .. Im sure as you get into the pain of body work you will no longer set on the fenders .

Conner, I never told you, I got the carb spotless and installed after you left, and she tried to hit but wouldn't start. So, cap, button and wires will be next. Plus, when I get back home, we can drop and clean the tank. Should be rolling soon thereafter...

well folks, my time with the Plymouth has come to an end. After some thought i decided i would rather put my time money and effort into something older and with less doors ;) stay tuned!
