8th Grade, 1961 Denville NJ spring with the windows open. Heard/saw 2 Hot rods square off, a 1949 Ford coupe("fool injected" in white hand lettering) with a caddy motor VS. a 30-31Channeled Ford roadster Gold colored, with the door cut out like a Trimph TR2, Flathead smoking the tires off when the light went green, I was hooked and bought my 1930 Ford coupe that summer! the rest is history.! That was East Coast in Jersey back in the 60's

This is a great story. Dont you wish you could 'show' people your memory? We can imagine it, but how cool would it be if we could see it. Somehow, I doubt it is too far into the future where people can see what we are thinking...

    Mark:
You have owned some very cool looking cars over the years and seeing Johnny D's car sure bring back some memories. The one photo looks like it was taken in front of your mom and dad's old house.

Always great to see some old cars that I remember from the 60's

Hi Ray. Not to change the subject, but you have many more pics of John Watson's old 32 sedan. I did find this one you posted awhile back. Hope all is well with you. Thanks,

I recently saw this "survivor" at the Riegelsville PA show/swap meet a few weeks ago. The owner is from NJ just across the river and he built it back in '51.
