Wanting to lower my 63 f100 ,but I don't want to slam her all the way to the ground , at least just not yet. I want to have her pretty low though.
I'm looking for a stance about like this.
Anyone have suggestions on who and what kits to go with that will not clean my pockets out ?
    Thanks folks.

That truck has prob been clipped. But you can get an F100 fairly low w/ a dropped axle and dearched springs.

    Here is my '64.

That truck you are referring to has a clip up front with air ride. Only way to go is with a drop axle and take two leafs out. Other than that an ifs clip is the way to go. The rear is easy if you want to notch it.

Moonpie doesn't have air ride... the baby blue one behind it does... but I think Moonpie has a MII frontend.

I'm not big on getting these trucks too low. They end up looking really un-athletic to me once you get past a certain point.

Attached is mine. I think it needs to be 1.5" lower front and back.

My bad, I double checked that and it's not on air ride like I thought. It had been a while since I last saw that truck. Real nice stance for a non air ride truck though. But again it does have a m2 clip.

I took two out on mine and it's fine. I have a 302 with an aod in it right now, idk how much my 223 with the three speed weighed but when I did the swap it still sat the same. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409347950.901669.jpg this is how it looks with two taken out .Now with a three inch drop axle you can expect it to look lower. You get the idea.

Yeah. On a sid's axle and dearched springs. I've done on on my '46 coupe as well. I'd use another one in a heartbeat.

the yellow truck has 2nd gen camaro clip. you WILL NOT get that low with any combination of dropped axle/springs. if that height is your goal IFS it is(well i guess you could Z the frame with straight axle) my 62 sits right around the same height as MoonPie(yellow truck) and it has Jag XJ notched into the frame. but if we don't want this to be the 100th thread on lowering these trucks to be deleted we best not talk about that here. i'll say theres plenty of info on the social groups or if you want the low down on jag in these trucks shoot me a pm(conversation) i've got it to a science in these trucks....ken......

i think you're looking at around 5-6" max out of dropped axle/spring maniplulation.

the camaro or jag 6-8" ain't hard and 10" is possible.

  18. Sid just did his own 64. Shoot him an email or call him and I bet he will shoot you some pics. It has a dropped axle and Posie springs if I remember right.

Cool I need to get back on my F100.

  21. I started by reversing the spring eyes then remove leafs as needed to get the ride you are looking for. The picture in post #17 shows that the missing forth leaf should replace the current third leaf.

I have read here on the HAMB that it works best to remove every other leaf in the spring pack... thanks 61dailyf100 for the pic.

You don't need to.... just remove one and it'll be close to the frame without having to have a pipe notch. You want to remove the longest spring after the main leaf.

I just got done doing mine and it's pretty low. Might have to go lower in the rear though! :)

Here's my '64. Sid's 3" drop axle, lost 2 leaves and dearched front. Lost 4 leaves in the back and dearched. I still have an inch of travel and no steering arm issues or bumpsteer. I also used Sid's drop ties. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409897887.345397.jpg

How long would you say it took you to take the old axle out and put everything back together ?
