Made a trade today with my Deuce coupe on this 1930 Model A 2 door sedan. I have many plans in mind to change on my new ride. I just ordered a set of lake style headers with turnouts from Matt @ Gear Drive. Also lookin to change out the wheels to 14" on the front and 15" on the rear to improve the stance. A Tri Power carb and intake on on the list also. New tail lights are a very soon must change item.. Then this winter it will go into the paint booth for a makeover. Color TBD ?? Have any thought or ideas throw them at me....
So if you promice to do so, an prove it by pics, then you did real good! Pictures of the inside, please.
So you traded a Deuce 5 window for a Model A sedan? Usually people try to go the other way. I hope you got $ along with the Model A for that deal. Sure you will be happy with the trade or you wouldn't have done it. Enjoy.
My Deuce 5 window was not very traditional by any means. It had a narrowed 9" with a tub. I did get a nice difference to make all of the listed changes I want to make including paint. I'm very happy with the trade and have a nice winter project to keep me busy during the cold winter months up north here. It will be standing tall come spring of 15
Nice! It'll look better once you make it yours, and then the next guy will change what you did and make it his.
There are so many nice things on that car, on so many things there are, oh wel,l not so nice. But the big importen stuff are nice and done! But then all the small issues are there for the winter/down time. Very good call, an now you can go and make a; Sedan of ugly, de-uglyfying thread. Like the one chip/need louvers did on his bucket. And if you do pictures of every thing you fix, why you fix it and how you did it. Ad a little talk of how it rides and where you bring it. Then this is gonna be Epic or legendary! Trust me!! There is no need for me to point out anything, I bet you've seen more then I have. Just a few question; What engine? What gear? What rear? Does it ride well? Is there any big issues with the ride/feelling? It looks like there only is visual issues, only HAMB'ers see.
It has a 350 SBC sporting an ugly 4 bbl. and that obvious blower style scoop which will be replaced with a tri-power set up. It has a 9" Ford rear with 300 gears. Took down to the local cruise tonight and seemed to drive and handle really nice. The biggest decision I have to make will be the color I'm going to paint it. I have a few ideas but need to sleep on it a few nights. I know by spring it will be standing tall and be a cool little sedan for me to enjoy.
