I don't think of this one as a hot rod.

But it is powered with a 215" with some speed goodies.

Hey. here is my 216" with offenhauser dual intake, rochester carbs. and fenton headers. It drives very cool but needs a little paint, and clean up. It would look good with a aluminum valve cover and maybe some other aircleaners. Where do you buy your performance stuff for your 216"??? it have to be someone who is willing to send it to Denmark. I have a 230 in my 63 Chevy II. Pretty much stock right now (except for the intake and headers), but I do have a fairly worked over 250 that may find it's way under the hood eventually. Right now the 230 is backed up by an S-10 5 speed and hopefully the car will see road time by spring 2015

The 215" I have is a Ford engine. It was in production only 2 years then replaced by the 223".
Speedway Motors shows manifolds and headers for the Chevy 216" I don't know if they ship to Denmark. It might be a place to start your search.

Just curious - has anyone tried to fab up F.I for your straight 6? I'm thinking (in particular) stock GM TBI on a Chevy six.

This may be OT but here is some info. In 2008 we put a GM TBI with a megasquirt on the 270 GMC in my '53 Chevy pickup as a demo at the Inliners International picnic at Bonneville. It was just a demo and I put the carb back on later. The wire harness was pulled from a van and had way too many wires. We had it running in less than a hour dur to some prep work. We didn't get to drive it because the fuel line would not stay attached. It's really pretty simple. Others have done it with the computer from a V6. You might try a search here. http://www.inliners.org/

Cool, I'll have to check them out.
    Thanks! =)
I was just wondering how hard that conversion would be.
Seems like a good way to make many improvements to the engine, all in one fell swoop.
...btw, I meant to qualify that question for ANY Chevy straight 6, from '29 onwards.

    six ball,

Thanks for the links! Much appreciated. =)
How did the engine run once the conversion was complete?
Did it seem to start any easier and idle smoother?

Like I said it was just a demonstration. It fired right up but we had a vacuum leak and it would not idle. We had a temporary fuel tank with a return line in the bed of the pickup and the fuel pump blew the gas line off a few times. It ran strong once the computer whiz made some settings but we didn't get to drive it. I had to put the carb back on in the dark with a borrowed baby flash light.

Ok. I thought maybe you had it run long enough to get it warm.
Sounds more like you set it up, just to prove the concept.
Very cool that you even attempted that.
Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated.

Thank you. I will look at the speedway motors homepage. They are a big company, so i think they will send it to Denmark. I bought a lot of things for a model A coupé i was having for some years ago, but at that time a friend of mine was working over there, and he filled a container with parts, and send it home to Denmark

How much power do you guys think a little 216" with offenhauser dual intake, rochester carbs., fenton headers and dual exhaust, will make? and how many mpg? any experience with this setup? how will it work with the 4 barrel carb. intake setup?
