Event Coverage **The Jalopy Jam Up 2014**

Wow, this weekend was a blast! I was so depressed about not having my car done in time but as soon as I pulled up that all changed! Thank you so much Jeff, 55gasserkid, Lead Kings, Performance Imp., etc. for all your hard work and efforts. It was great to see a lot of friends I have not had the chance to see in a while and it was great meeting new ones. I also want to thank Tim for bringing Dave's (Norton Grimm's) "Fake T". That made my day to see Dave's car at the show. Thank you so much to everyone for the awesome experience. Hopefully next year my arse will be in gear and my car will be there!

 

Monsoon be damned. We're Canadian, we're hot rodders, we know how to have a good time no matter what...

Top? who needs a damn top...



News flash! Cars don't melt in the rain! And there were LOTS of damn nice cars there...

Great to see our pal Tim brought his and his son David's father/son roadster project up. David's not with us anymore, but Tim will continue building this with David in the garage with him. It kinda got set to the side a bit, but it was good to see it there...





And I even dragged my long-way-from-done shitbox along for the ride. It looks better in the rain, from a distance, than it does up close in the dry. Got a ways to go yet...



When all is said and done, it;s time to pack up my trailer queen and hit the trail...


Huge thanks to Jeff, Jay and Brandon for putting this on. Thanks to Rick for the weird, awesome venue. Probably the strangest, coolest place I've ever been to for a car show. Thanks to everyone else for busting ass to get this show running.

Mother Nature can go screw herself, she's going to have to do better than that if she's going to keep me from going next year.

 

Hell, all I did was show up and have a blast. The best part is our wives had a blast too, we are all coming back. No tow dolly next year, I'll be driving.

Ah, roughing it. Put me down for this cabin again next year (thanks to whoever vacated it, the tent on Friday night was somewhat less pleasant)...

 

Thanks to all of you four for your hospitality. The cheese and salami was much needed!

 

Awesome pictures Big A! I have to say you're Shoebox was one of my favorites at the show! I have to ask though what dash was that in it? Thanks!

 

Man oh man. This show was fantastic. Even though it poured rain for a good chunk of the day, there wasn't anything to complain about. Cool venue, awesome organization, bitchin' cars and super people. Yes, all of the adjectives are needed, because that's how good the show was.
I kept saying, that the people who stuck around in the rain, are the ones that you want to have at a show, and it's true. For a first time show, it was done right. This is just a jumping off point for next year being even better.

A big kudos to @55gasserkid @Jeff Norwell and @LEAD KING. You guys pulled out all the stops and put on one hell of a show. Get some much needed rest. You guys deserve it.

Great pics! We would like to be there next year. Someone mentioned changing the date, any truth to that?

 

That would work very well so that our club can go to the Relix Riot and the Jam Up. It would make a great August. Thanks Eric.
