A lot of work but I didn't care for it when everybody had to have the new fad paint job. Give me a basic black hotrod. Sorry to rain on your parade but you did ask my opinion.

I like the back end treatment, the door and cowl panel design not so much.

sez you. The 'naysayers', whose opinions were invited, by the way, may think you have no, and/or poor, taste. It's an 'eyes of the beholder thing'.... no more, no less.

  14. Looks like there's more flake on the floor than on the car.

  15. I like it, but of course I would, I get the vibe of the car.

I think it looks pissah! Suits the car , which I like a lot -actually don't know why there are so many T-buckets, when the Bantam bodies just look so much more aggressive and " race ready".Nice job. And you've gotten opinions from both sides of the fence, which means you've created something that makes people THINK ( even if it gives them a headache). It's the old "Some of the people some of the time" routine. Keep rollin'-full speed ahead, and damn the torpedoes!

Kinda appropo for a 'drag car type' from the '60s time warp. It fits. Drag roadsters were typically painted in wild schemes...

But to make it more convincing, I'd sure swap that deep dish wheel for a flat 3 spoke Bell.
The cartoonish steering wheel robs it of credibility, Bell wheel would give it that 'professional equipment' look.

o_O Whoa ! I just had a flashback to my high school days. I didn't like it then and I feel the same now.
    You asked :)

  20. Yes, very 60's.
A decade when much of the culture went off the rails.....

I like it!! Anyone have any rolling papers?

"It would be OK to try and pick up some hot hippy chicks that were into to some sorta sea goddesses & astrology vibe using that kinda paint job." Now that's funee Curbfeeler.

I'm into custom choppers of the late 60's-early 70's with lots of flake. I think the car is cool as shit! I'd drive it all the time. My bikes have the same vibe. And you know what, more people are looking at the bike than the "Basic black" hot rod. It gets the girls wet too.
Just sayin'! You have loads of talent buddy! Now, how about painting a Sportster tank and fender? Serious give a call if you have the time.

If you are going for the 60's vibe it is spot on. My opinion does not matter as long as you like it. Nowadays to many people do what everybody else likes regardless of what they like. Scott

  30. In my opinion a rod should be built to be noticed! There are colors more boring than black, just can't think of any right now. LOL Love the paint job, takes me back to my good old days, Cheers.
