Thanks for the comments guys.. Good to hear Scraped the engine mount off and noticed this Found this pretty cool Krueger full floating and a patent number Anyone know if these came stock on the model a ?? Pretty neat IMO Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Cool build, you obviously get it. Nice to see! I can't read the patent number on your photo but you can read the description of what it was designed to do by entering you number into the USPTO site. http://www.uspto.gov/patents/process/search/
Thanks will do when i get home. I wanna run this if I can find new rubbers for it... If not I'm just gonna see if I can make some Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I wish you guys with build would put all pictures on a website with no comments but your own so we could see a complete build or as one goes.
In response to the previous post: That's funny, cause every time I post on my thread multiple times with no responses, I assume no one is listening or cares. Then again I'm known to talk to much. "Listen Mr... It ain't broke if I can't fix it"
i thought that is why you have a album (which can have commentary) and a thread. I have assumed that too only to have some one ask me in person about something they saw on the thread. He said he doesn't post much, LOL
I'm having trouble getting the images to load but the patent for that part was issued August 28, 1934. Here is the page for the images of the original patent. http://pdfpiw.uspto.gov/.piw?Docid=...&SectionNum=&idkey=NONE&Input=View+first+page
Hotrodding is supposed to be communal. You know, "pass me that wrench" or "will this part work with my build?" It'd be pretty boring to read one person drone on and on about their build by themselves. Besides, comments on build threads help with enthusiasm and motivation.
Awesome build so far man! I'm 23 and just started building my 31 pickup. It's always cool to see younger guys like me getting into it too!
Yea you really don't expect it Not too much to report More parts sandblasted Got the rear drums off Front end partially assembled
That's not stock Krueger made some very good performance parts for bangers back in the day when bangers were king that is a very nice piece of history this is great looking build will be following
That Kreger unit is accessory, not stock for sure. Stock A mounts are just a simple horseshoe. You should clean that up, rebuild it as best you can and run it!
Even though I'm doing the labor and greasy work myself, I damn near live for comments and feedback on my build these days. HAMB members are the only people I have to share this passion with. "Listen Mr... It ain't broke if I can't fix it"
I'm gonna Try To Rebuild It. It Looks Like It Uses The Stock Model A Horseshoe Mount and Its Just Replaces The Stock Springs With Rubber? Not Quite Sure though
I'm not so sure about that. The tabs look different from the mounts I've seen. But you haven't shown it to us blown apart yet. Regardless, replacing the rubber with what it came with originally will probably be nearly impossible. However, I was watching Stacey David's Gearz a while back and he had this stuff that comes as a putty that you can mold into your parts to make a new bushing that you can't otherwise find a replacement for. It took me a while to find it again, it's called Versimold.
I should add, that if it indeed does turn out to be an add on to the stock mount, Mac's appears to sell something similar and i think they have rebuild kits that may work also.
