  7. Man! I like it! Butch is gonna get all lathered up over this one! More pics!

  8. I like that 56. The guy you bought it from, bought my buddy Gils, "Panama Red" 56. I'm glad you like your slicks, I've never really been too big on white walls, & they pretty much disappeared from race cars in the early 60's. To each his own, and congrats.

  9. SCCCHHHWWWIIIIIIIIG! My brother and I would love to find one like that! Faded red/maroon with blue plexi windows..,nice color combo!

I will get some better pics later this week. The paint is based on a truck that used to run at Eddyville drag way here in Iowa. My grandfather had a Nova wagon that he was running there around the same time. There is a picture of the truck on here in a thread about Iowa drag strips.

I reckon that this one would probably technically fall into one of the altered classes with that wheel base. It still has the "gasser sprit" and it's just a flat out bitchin' machine.

  27. Thanks ME.Gasser and love the 4 dr you have Willys 37 to me there all totally cool remember we all own history that what i find so cool. Keep them coming!

  28. Actually yours is a morphing gasser. When the light weight pony cars came out in the 60s folks started using them to replace the Willys/Anglia style as stright gassers. They weren't as exciting in stock form as the old iron and the class lost its appeal so they started fiddling with them until they morphed into what is now the fuel Funny Car. Yours is a very early version of the transition. Great looking rod!
