Technical My new 32 roadster build

    Thanks fellas, it was a last minute change of mind, was going a dark maroon but seeing a lot of cars being built in that colour, I just wanted something different. It's a really dark blue, darker then navy but in some lights it almost has a purple tinge.
    It's been done in acrylic so a final sand and buff should get it nice and shiny

    Yup, Cragar, Mr gloss himself, I was worried that I'd prepped the frame to near his high standard, I let him lay the final coat and stood back and watched the master at work!!

    I must say Thommo you did a good job in getting the chassis ready for paint and you are getting better at putting colour on you are starting to relax it is looking real good it looks like we have a new brother Jase

    Coming together very nicely. I was wondering how you where going with the roadster and had until now not come across your build thread.

    I would certainly like to hear that gorilla motor fire up some time soon Thommo!!

  20. Very tidy chassis, love the exhaust through the back crossmember.
    I thing quite a few people got stuff done while the HAMB was down.

    Going through engine and a double check, refresh gaskets and fit up schiefer aluminum flywheel.
    Swapping heads from the edelbrock to navarro, not a straight swap as the edelbrock's are the hi roof to accommodate the hi lift cam.
    Off to machine shop for heads to have a fly cut and cc match up.

  22. Good stuff Thommo, don't know how I haven't came across this thread before but she looks like she should be a cool ride when done. hope to see her around the traps some time when she's done.

    Nice progress and a nice chassis. I have one coming together almost at the same point as yours.

    Frame just about buttoned up, now rub, rub and more rub, then paint.
