Like hot rods at hell said. Try and work it into conversations. I do all the time. It pisses my wife off. But the other day. A man came in my office. And was talking about his truck having problems. I worked flatheads into the conversation. And he told me that he had two old trucks that had them in it. And said for a hundred bucks I could have both motors and transmissions. What's "your price range"? If you're looking for a decent driver for $1500 you're a couple of decades too late. If you're realistic you should have no problem. Model-As are coming down in price these days.
Talk to the oldtimer's at the local car shows or parades, plus there are many chapters of the different Model Restorer's clubs. 40 years ago guys used to buy parts cars for their restorations alot of times even that stuff is tucked away.
During WWII my grandfather would buy them up to keep his tractors running. Apparently his tractors utilized many shared model A mechanical parts! I think he scrapped the bodies for the war effort. Posted using Full box of Crayons on the Kitchen Walls App!

For freedom, gotta love the open contry.. Drawback is lack of old car friendly weather, & influx of tree huggers who hate all motor sports. . Bill
I feel that I'm realistic. I think I should be able to find a decent driver for around $7k and a pretty nice car for around $10k.
That's a real discouraging and sad photo. I've seen one similar that had a pile of old 10's,20's, and 30's cars 3 stories high that were being burned and crushed for the war effort.
