Hot Rods My pal Johns new Deuce

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Jul 26, 2014.

  1. John has wanted a Deuce for a long time and recently he found one a days ride from here and had just sold his Flathead COE & early Ford pickup and finally had the cash to buy his dream car.

John has built some nice cars over the years and still owns a T tub with a wicked Flatty and Scot blower and quick change he built back in the 60's,

I finally got to see the car this afternoon,,cool car.

John is not the tallest guy around so he needs a booster pillow. icon_lol.gif HRP

  3. Great for him, hope he gets lots of miles in that dude. Great stance, dash, and seats. You gotta get him a better ass pillow though. Just kidding, and I really dig that old auto meter tach.

  4. I was knocked out with the 40 dash insert,,usually guys use the whole 40 dash. HRP

Danny I had the pleasure of stopping by John's place a year or so ago and getting a personal tour of his T-Touring. He fired it up and backed it out of the garage so I could take a bunch of pictures. His T had been in the back of my mind for decades since I first saw a couple pictures of it at York in I think 1978. Never had any luck tracing it until I asked a guy at a local Florida cruise if he ever went to York and might remember the T. He said he sure did and helped me get in touch with John. I hope to pattern my T Touring build along the same lines as his except that mine is a '26. Tell him his T stalker from Florida said hey and that his new '32 looks great.

  10. Wow, that Deuce is beautiful. Your friend did good.:D

  11. Yeah,it's a small block with 3 deuces, for some unknown reason my digital camera didn't tell me to take a picture of the engine. icon_lol.gif HRP

  12. Lee,I met John shortly after he moved South and joined the Early Ford V8 Club,,he is a heack of a nice guy and I love his old T.

When I see him I'll hit him with the Florida stalker,,I know he will get a kick out of that.

BTW,start making your plans for next years All Deuce Run,,John is gonna be there. HRP
