Somewhere between 28-31 model a frame? Not sure, can't find any serial numbers. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1405198642.868610.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1405198661.970878.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1405198675.697116.jpg

  2. Did you carefully check the top of the left frame rail a little behind the engine mount (where it would have been covered by the body)? In the photo it doesn't look like you cleaned up that area. Sometimes the numbers are very faint.

'30-'31, front cross member doesn't have the two rolled 'beads' outboard of the 'U' bolts.
'28 and '29 have this character...

  9. What are you looking at that makes you say '30-'31 and not '28-'29?

I think the front two tabs mounted to the frame are for the strap that goes around the cowl.

I'm pretty sure the frame number will tell you the year of manufacture

The frame number will tell you which engine was installed during production.
S/N on the engine was transfered to the frame when they were mated.
