Event Coverage Royboy Goes To The Des Moines Good Guys

I went into more detail about the trip on my site and on this week's podcast but I will share the appropriate photos from the show here as well. This is not a thread for GG bashing, don't do that crap, we're all tired of it. Point blank, I'm not a huge fan of the GG shows at the racetracks, but this was a whole different deal due to the location and the people that showed up.

Very nice pics Travis! Thanks for posting them. I love those two brightly painted 55 Chevys that seem to be hanging out with each other. It would be great if they showed up at KKOA. Looking forward to more. See you in a couple weeks.

 

Awwwwwwwww c'mon Travis, I wanna read all of those unhappy HAMBers bashing GG's again...it so much fun to read about how GG's rips everyone off ...it's a lot like HAMBers asking other HAMBers what color they should paint their car or how much they should chop the top...b-o-r-i-n-g...!!!

The Des Moines fairgrounds is, IMHO, the best GG's event in the country. I'm from Iowa, so I'm prejudiced...!!!

Even tho it looks like it was a bit wet, I'd bet that kept the humidity down...too bad I missed it again this year... Oh well, there's too many rod runs to go to across the country to waste time to bitch about one...

All is well in the Flats. He and my dad recently returned from the Iola Swapmeet with a new 28 Speedster for dad's collection.

Wow,this setting is a great place for a show,I am not a huge GG's fan but they do draw a lot of nice cars,you sir have a great eye for photographing the cream of the crop! HRP
