Took the 63 Caddy for a cruise in the country last Sunday and found a stash of cars. The guy has moved 4 of them out next to the road for sale. One is a 55 Buick Century, a late 60s Eldorado, a mid 70s Eldorado convertible and a 65-66 Caddy convertible. I drove down the gravel road past his property and there is a group of cars at the back of his place. Several mid 50s Caddys, early 60s Pontiacs, early 50s Buicks....one being a convertible, and several Mopar convertibles. Wasnt able to get very close. Waiting for the guy to return my call so I can get a closer look. The white Mopar convertible looks to be an early 60s Dodge but maybe not. Not sure....not really a mopar guy.

'64 Chrysler Newport with what looks like a '60 Olds flattop next to it and a 72 Toronado up front. If the guy doesn't mind take more pictures once you get up close.

Thanks.....I just found that out this morning. I've never seen so many convertibles in one spot. I will definitely be taking more pics when I can get in there.

Finally got into this place to check things out. [IMG]

Can anyone ID that motor? Sorry for the camo. I researched a little and found they only came with the 361, 383 or 413. That little single snorkel air cleaner makes me think 361 2 bbl. did the 383 come in a 2bbl version? I only had about 30 minutes to check out about 30 cars cuz the guy needed to be somewhere. I didn't want to piss him off.

Chrysler....66? Aren't these cars fairly rare in a convertible?

Unusual to see a 'vert parked like that with an intact top. Most look like the Buick after a little while.

These were all complete running and driving cars when he bought them 10 years ago and parked them here. He said he was planning to do something with all of them when he retired about 5 years ago. But then his health got bad just before retirement and he never got started on any of them. He bought and flipped about 10 and redid another 4 or 5 before he got where he couldn't do any more. He's keeping the 4 or 5 that he did and he says he has another 30 or so stored in another place that he is keeping awhile longer.

Bought a 56 Caddy 4dr from this guy today. Mainly a parts car for my coupe de Ville. Really liking that 50 Buick Roadmaster convertible also.

The standard and only available engine in the Newport for 64 was the 361 two-barrel.
