Man I LOVE THIS CAR!!!! Would you be willing to share your ground clearance from the bottom of the frame/ cab to ground? I have my chassis set at 8" and I'm beginning to think I'm just not low enough, bigger is not better in this case.

    THANKS,
    CHRIS

This car isn't crazy low like slammed or anything, I can go over speed bumps and in and out of driveways easily. I'm probably somewhere close to you. I think between 6 and 8 inches. I think it's just when you get everything into proportion and working together, it throws illusions at you, Like being lower than it is.

Thanks for the reply. Always need to know more about cars that nail it like yours. Nice work, very motivating.

    Thanks!

No it's a manhandled 28/29. It's narrowed an inch and sectioned like 3 inches.

    Thanks Kevin!

It's not totally done yet. I still have to wet sand with 1500 and polish out the paint, plus sort out all the upholstery. I did let the top go to someone else for stitching, but it's totally worth it. More on that later. For now, I took the wife and Mark and I (along with a dozen other friends) visited a buddy this weekend out in the hill country.

  22. Holy shit, I always assumed you wheels were chromed steelies with painted centers. Those caps are wicked cool! What are they?

Noticed you mf sticker too. I'm dropping off my phaeton to bob next weekend.

They are Chromesides for '49 Shoebox wheels.

That's a great decision! Bob will make your car awesome! Bob is a huge influence on me as a friend and a builder. No one understands period coolness as much as him.

    Thanks everybody! More to come..

This is just awesome, first time I saw the car was on youtube some year ago. Ever since then I've been obsessed with 1930 model A's.
I just went through the whole thread from start to finish and I gotta say, Dreaddy, you and your awesome work are an inspiration for sure.
It may not be easy to find my own coupe and it may take time to learn everything but I WILL have my own coupe one day.

    Thanks!
