Ding ! Ding ! Ding ! give the man a prize 2 am guy drives over a small island, hit 's the jeep ,pushing him into the 2 doors on the driver's side. he then bounces off the jeep ,crushes the 1/4 onto the rear wheel and takes out the exhaust on that side
forgot to add that the guy that hit us ran. funny thing is i thought the guy in the jeep was drunk and a guy who heard it happen thought i was drunk
That sucks, I feel for you, and those back doors are wagon-specific I believe. The quarter looks workable though, hope it's not that bad once you tear into it.
There is a 59 wagon tailgate on Ebay right now, and (I know this is a stretch) if a 4 door shell will work (by grafting your window frame to it), I know of one that should be in pretty good shape?
That is a major freakin' drag-if that happened to me and I WASN'T drunk, I would be shortly thereafter( and out headhunting). Hope you can locate the stuff to straighten her out.Maybe someone on the HAMB will see your post and have what you need? Sucks big time! Good luck with it. Mike
Look at the bright side, you are here to tell us about it, and not 6 ft under. It sucks, but the car can be fixed. At least you won't forget this Powertour, and you have a good story, good luck with the fix.
Another thing to be grateful for: if you were there when it happened, you might have initiated some "follow up" with the offending driver that could have landed you in hot water. Based on how nice your car is and how pissed I get when idiots have the balls to try a hit-and-run... I would have ended up in jail for attempted something-or-other. well guys thanks for the kind words and hopefully things will work out thru the insurance. i'm still waiting for the wagon to be transported to south florida . The best therapy i could have had was renting a dodge challenger and still doing the tour . once i get my pics loaded i will share some incredible vehicles i was able to see along the tour
This is the right attitude,you could have throw the towel in and went home with a wrecked car,,you took the high road and made the best of a bad situation...smart move and have fun with that Challenger..they will move! HRP

well were getting close . the 1/4 looks good and they are just waiting for the pinstriper to match what was there. on the roof and fins some pearl was added to the white. a little hard to see while it's in the shop , but hopefully outside it will "POP"
not that i know of. i've had it about 15 yrs now and i bought it out of virginia. the car has texas tags on it when i got it and a dealer plaque on the tailgate from plainview tx
