Zeuschel, Fuller& Moody AA/FD. The push car is Norm Grabowski's tub, Dave Zeuschel sitting in the passenger seat. This car would star in "Sex Kittens Go to College," with Mamie Van Doren (remember her), and later would get transformed into a "1928 Porter" in "My Mother the Car," which Don Ewald properly called "one of the worst sticoms ever made." I think that Kaye Trapp, later of "Magic Car" Winkle & Trapp fame, owned the car when it was used as a push car

Steve Earhardt (at back) and Stan Adams helping out. That's the Starlite II, Dragmaster Dart Chassis.

Sorry the picture didn't show up like I expected it to

Interesting picture because the Enderle Scoop looks like the Frantic Four's setup. Since both groups from the Pomona area, maybe someone can tell us if they were borrowing the Frantic Four setup when this shot was taken, or did the Starlight guys originate it and pass it along to them. Hmmm...I know this is really a trivial thing, but inquiring minds want to know.

Good observation, but I don't know the answer.

I'm not sure but I think that Weekly and Rivero borrowed the Starlight injectors when Hilborn gave them a bill for $75 to fix an almost new pump. I was at Hilborns getting my injectors flowed when the counter guy gave Norm the bill (that was when $75 was a lot of money and W&R were not exactly bucks-up). I never forgot the look on Norms face, and the next week they were running Endreles. They could have borrowed them from the PVTA crew since, as you noted, they were both from the Pomona area.

There are some amazing pictures in this thread.

  24. Nice shot of the Allen Familys Praying Mantis--looks like the guy with the tripod got a killer shot as well.
fwiw--Ivos Giraffe car has a totally different paint scheme in each pic.
    Didn't he crash that thing?
