The wagoon looked so cool, cruising towards the American Legion Hall, as we were rolling out. Wishing I had a chance to admire it up close and personal, but I got tied up during the stop at Stockton lake. Figgered I'd catch ya at the park, when I saw you guys blast off back to Joplin. Laughed and honked the horn, as we rolled past Subway, in Greenfield, and I saw the wagoon sitting there in the parking lot. Thanks for coming over and spending some time on the run and for the kind words regarding it. Looking forward to catching up with you one of these days! bc
Ryno, as you know, I'm putting a '63 BelAir wagon together & have asked your advice before, so here goes another question: what is the dimension from top of frame (or bottom of square tubing), to front upper shock mount that you fabbed? I bought the shocks ('63 Chevy truck) & mounts, but would like to know the height of that upper mount. Thanks in advance, & thanks for the advice already given!
i will have to double check for you, but i think its was about 4" from the bottom of the square tube to the center line of the shock stud, and i use 33033 front shock # from oreillys.
thank you fellas for the good words. had a good cruise yesterday over to dewey ok , for the stray kat 500 car show. another 240 miles....
sorry man i didn't see this, but i did just replace all the rear bushings and new adjustable pan hard bar. i also went ahead and boxed in the stock trailing arms, really stiffed the rear end up. 2600 pd bag, removed the stock spring saddle, weld on new lower bag mount, i used a 5" pipe and matched the top angle cut ( i believe it was about 12 degrees) to fit the stock upper pocket, depending on your desired air out height adjust the height of the top cup. move the emergency brake forward 2 " for more clearance.
thanks man yes, stock arms, just shorter shocks.ill have too double check, but i believe they are monore 33051 in the rear and i use 33033 in the font.
just got my skate deck from roy boy productions aka @travisfromkansas here on the hamb came out killer, pics dont do it justice
