Saw Cody's car at the Jalopy Showdown yesterday and it does not disappoint. It was hard to get a decent picture with all of the onlookers. It's one of those beautiful customs you want to see with the hood down to appreciate the lines, but then you would miss that jewel of an engine.

  3. Sure hope Cody post some current photos. HRP

I saw it at the Showdown too , and was floored by it - it's near perfection . I'm a longroof lover , so it really trips my trigger ! I took a few pics of it . As soon as I get them uploaded , I'll post 'em .

Hi Cody, nice to see the car is out and about, I'm sure you got a ton of comments and questions.
The wagon looks great and the shot of the windshield in the rain makes it clear you are really going to drive it.

Nothing wrong with that grocery getter for sure. 20mpg makes it even better especially when you drive them. Your execution is spot on and you have a keen eye for style. Great job and enjoy it out on the open road.

We each build our cars to suit ourselves. Cody, I wouldn't change a thing if it were mine. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. Thank you for taking us along for the ride.

  16. Fantastic car. Congrats on getting her on the road. You have so much to be proud of with this build. I live on the other side of the country, but I hope to see it in person one day.

She sure did. Only her second hot rod and custom show (she went to the first Pimlico Revival) and she was disappointed she couldn't stay longer. I suspect that she will want to come with me to Jalopyrama this year :)

Sorry it took so long to get my pics of the wagon up here . I've been busy as hell this week , plus MY (O.T.) wagon was destroyed by hail a couple days ago :( . At any rate , it was hard to get great pics at the Showdown , but I did my best :) . Like I told you at the Showdown , Cody , the attention to detail on the '59 is amazing . My jaw is still on the floor . I love the use of the S.U. carbs , BTW . A cool touch . I was actually thinking about ways of making a custom manifold for my 302 in my Shoebox to run a bunch of S.U.'s on it . It sure would be different !
