i have run at least 6 different sets of spokes . the KH bent were a pain as they are not tubless . the 1935 wires are great if straight . im currently running the 1935 wires tubless radials . wires2.jpg

My A came with the 35 wires, but I am updating the 40 brakes to F-1's.
I had to buy a set of spacers to mount the wires to the F-1 drums, but I wanted to keep them on the car.

I'd like to know if you actually get them in 6-8 wks. I ordered a set from Coker in Jan, 6-8 wks quickly became Aug...now the tentative ETA is 12/31/14. I picked up a cheapy set of steels for summer.

I'd really like to know what the hold up is w/ these.

I run Wheelsmith 4.5x15 fronts and 8x18 rears. Around 15000 mile on them and no problems and they look great!

I've got '35 straight spoke wires on both my rides and love the look. I found a set of KH bent spokes sitting in the dirt at a friend of a friend's farm a couple of weeks ago but I can't convince him that he should sell them to me.

Misread the post...early MoPar wires are 5 on 5-1/2 and you are correct on the later MoPar bolt patterns.

The low mileage is due to life getting in the way. The A was rolled into the corner of the shop where it sat for 34 years. The 21,000 miles was put on in the few years I drove it. Most in 1971/73.

The same set of Kelsey Hayes bent 40 spokes have been on my '32 pickup since 1984.

Assuming good traction how much horsepower are ford 35 wires good for.
