Creating A Monster

Creating A Monster

thanksto.gif

It seems like every 18 months or so I am forced to make a leap of faith. It’s a scary deal for me, but I am always amazed to see how folks come through with more generosity than I could ever hope to have myself. This past couple of weeks have been nothing short of amazing. Here’s how it went down:

The Jalopy Journal got nailed with traffic like we have never seen before. We were fielding over 1.5 million page views a week and as a result, we had to turn off a lot of the essential functions that help us keep this place online. Scott Noteboom caught wind of this while sitting at Yahoo! and got his good pals over at Rackable Systems involved. A few days later, there was a monster server on my doorstep that our hosting company (Cyberwurx) worked to get installed and running in no time.

We don’t advertise on The Jalopy Journal and our editorials are not for sale. These folks went above and beyond to help us all… Pretty damn cool.
