Movie of the Week: Dragway 42 in the Early Sixties…

First, I want to apologize if this one has already made the rounds on the HAMB- The YouTube video has a decent amount of views, so somebody’s been watching this stuff! Regardless, there so many cool cars in this clip I just had to share… Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio (50 miles south of Cleveland) opened in 1957, and despite changing ownership a few times, I am happy to say that they are still operating today! Come back with me to 1963(?) and enjoy the golden era of ‘run what ya brung’… Variety, as they say, is the spice of hot rodding.
Pro tip: You may want to watch this one with the sound off, unless you dig ‘Morning News Channel’ soundtracks.
