Robert Williams Interview from 2005

Robert Williams Interview from 2005

I’m guessing most of you know who Robert Williams is… Artist, hot rodder, a man of many talents. Maybe you know him for that Guns & Roses art, his other amazing paintings, or his crazy ‘Prickly Heat’ ’32 Roadster.  His influence on Kustom Kulture in the 60s and 70s, low buck hot rods and the 90s resurgence is undeniable. I’ve spoken to him a few times over the years, bought some of his art, and yes, he is still out there making trouble- Just like a recent interview for Road & Track. Going back nearly 20 years earlier, I just found this video of Robert talking about the early days of hot rods in L.A., his love of the 1932 Ford in particular, and a bit about his art… You can see in the way he speaks there is an honestly and passion, and it’s all too good not to share!
