Photoshoot Roadtrip… Film only.

Photoshoot Roadtrip… Film only.

A few years back, I wandered the heartland for a couple of weeks, chasing down hot rods with a camera in hand. Finding willing participants wasn’t as easy as I’d hoped, but I made do, and some of those shoots turned out pretty damn good. I think about that trip a lot—just me, a stretch of open road, and only the faintest whiff of purpose. It was pure freedom, and I had a hell of a time soaking it all in.

Now, I’m headed to California in a couple of weeks to drop PJ off at college in Santa Barbara. After the chaos of move-in day, I’ll be hitting the road back to Texas—open highway ahead, film camera ready, and absolutely zero expectations. I haven’t the slightest clue if I’ll take I-10 or shoot up north on I-40. I’m gonna let fate, or maybe just the moment, decide.

So what I’m getting at here is that I’d like to put some cars on film on my way home if I can. Do you have some rad new hot rod begging for its moment? Are you between California and Texas? Well hell – you might as well drop me a private message with a picture of your car. If the scheduling works out, you’ll get some proper 35mm prints and I’ll get a story. Pretty square deal, right?

But here’s the hard part. I should be on the road between September 22nd through the 26th or so. That makes scheduling sort of weird given it’s the beginning of the week and you guys have no idea where I’ll be and… Damnit, is this even worth the hassle?

It just might be… So, So-Cal folks… Arizona Folks… Maybe Nevada folks… New Mexico folks… Oklahoma folks… holler at me if this is at all interesting to you.
