Deals to be Had?

Deals to be Had?

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that the world is in a little bit of turmoil right now- There are major wars are raging around the world, the cost of everything from groceries to gas in the U.S. are way up, and our job growth is way down. It may not technically be a recession, but it is officially depressing. One bit of light that comes with all this doom and gloom?  Some classic car prices are falling right now, including various Ford of the 30s through 50s. Example? Last weekend I was browsing online classifieds and found a 1936 Ford 3 window coupe offered for an astoundingly cheap $25,000! This wasn’t some rusty project car, either. It had already been upgraded to a 59AB and juice brakes, but was otherwise all stock and very solid. Maybe that ’36 3W was was an anomaly, but I’ve seen similar ‘fire sale’ prices on some ’39 and ’40 Ford coupes lately, too. The overall trend I’m seeing? Buyers are being more picky; if they are dropping cash on a dream ride, they’ll hold out for just the right one in the absolute best condition. Some bargains are happening with #3 condition and below cars, the ones needing cosmetics and some sorting out. Keep you’re eyes peeled, fellers- The deals are out there!
