You’ve likely heard me rave about the Goodwood Revival in the UK plenty of times. What I never realized was that the event organizer himself, the Duke of Richmond, owns and drives a (fairly) traditional hot rod, which explains why he is so welcoming to a distinctively American part of car culture at this prestigious and very British event. Cooler still, he bought his Model A truck at Bonneville during Speed Week, shipped it back to England, sorted all the issues and then customized it further. The Duke has a wide range of vintage European sports cars and motorcycles, from ACs to Aprilias, so I find it refreshing he really gets period jalopies from the Yanks in a meaningful enough way have one in his collection.
